Resting in red
This is a corner of the Cimitero Generale of Torino. This has been shot with my iPhone 4s.
The app used to shot the image was HDR Pro, cropping and adjustments were done using Snapseed, further editing was done using Dynamic Light, Pic Grunger and Phototoaster.

I like the reds too, but something here bothers me. What is it? I keep looking at the photo, but I can’t figure it out! 🙂 This is the first photograph of yours that made me feel uncomfortable. Perhaps that is your intent?
Thanks for all the beautiful photographs.
Well, the colors are stark, and that was my intention: to make the contrast of colors the center of this photo. Perhaps you feel the aggressiveness of this image too much. I did want this to be a strong image, but not unsettling.
Thanks for your kind words.

The purpose of art is to illicit an emotional response in the viewer, is it not? You are correct in your analysis of the image’s effect. It should be a bit jolting, and you achieved precisely that effect. I can almost always understand my response to an image, but you managed to confound me here. This one will stick in my head. Well done, I must say!
Spectacular!
Love the recent RED theme!
Wonderful!
That red really grabs a-hold and shakes some life into my eyes!
It’s neat how you got out just the red 🙂
